No, we are not talking about throwing your mind behind bars so you can lose stop eating bacon cheeseburgers. Instead, we are talking about conviction in the sense of a firmly held opinion or belief. Right now, your mind already has convictions that you believe in. Whether they were taught to you or if they are personal preferences, those convictions dictate many decisions that you make on a day to day basis.
Even though these convictions are strongly held beliefs, they can always be changed at the will of the owner. Therefore the first step on the journey to wellness is to have "the want". You have to desire a change and then firmly believe that you CAN do it. This doesn't always come easily for everyone. Many people, myself included, need to have things laid out in a organized way. Perhaps even a step-by-step guide to walk you through everything you need to know.
For the time being, we do not have such a guide compiled--though it would be nice in the long run. At present, we just have knowledge through research, trial and error that we would like to share. Things that have worked and things that miserably failed. Now, in order to either create or change a conviction in your mind, you have to set a goal. In our upcoming posts, we will discuss some easy goals to set that you can start immediately. Later, we will upload a presentation about each of these goals and how a minute change can lead to a wide range of benefits.
